The Story

2014 - Company Co-founders Eamon Crosby and Emma Killian were managing a super busy events business. The were using the best software tools they could find. No platform would streamline their workflow. They were overwhelmed with administrative tasks.

2015 - Eamon and Emma knew there had to be a better way, and decided to develop a platform tailored to events. With Eamon’s extensive business qualifications and their combined experience in weddings and events, they first set out to find a technical Co-founder to bring the vision to life.

2015 Only the best CTO would suffice. After an extensive search, they met Michael R., who brought significant development experience from working at Microsoft and Google, coupled with a family background in hospitality. He joined the team as CTO, they hired, and the build began.

2016 Version one of BriteBiz was deployed into Eamon & Emma’s company. Before BriteBiz, the company was struggling with the admin load of 10 events per week. Within 10 months it was managing 30 events per week with eyes shut. Everything automated and integrated.

2017 Several venues, vendors, and planners saw BriteBiz, and were blown away. They wanted to use it. The team decided to re-engineer the platform for broader use, making it available to other event companies. We talked to potential customers, listened and developed the product they wanted.

2018 BriteBiz onboards its first customers in the UK and the US. New features are added to the platform including Digital Contracting tools, SMS, and best-in-class features like two-way Xero and Quickbooks integrations. BriteBiz quickly gained a reputation as a leading technology with a customer-centric approach.

2019 - 2024 Directory integrations added. BriteBiz received several awards, including the Best Event Technology at the Event Industry Awards. User numbers soared into the thousands, new territories like Australia. New features such as payment plans and floor planning were added. And more.

Meet Our Co-founders

Eamon Crosby

Eamon Crosby

Co-founder & CEO

Events & business are Eamon’s passion. He is a serial entrepreneur and is now committed to helping others grow their businesses. Eamon holds a Degree and Masters in Science followed by Professional Accountancy qualification with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Before focusing on the events industry, he also worked with Microsoft, Dell, and Zoho CRM.

After his corporate training, Eamon decided to follow his passion and has worked in weddings, production, entertainment and events for over 20 years, co-founding three successful companies. He is a public speaker and active podcaster.

An outdoor and sport lover, when not hanging out with his family, you could find Eamon playing his favorite song on guitar or piano. Eamon has worked professionally as a musician/vocalist, DJ, and has even done stand up!

Eamon is a serial entrepreneur with a passion for events and business. Holding a  Degree and Masters in Science and professional accountancy training with PWC, he has worked with companies like Microsoft, and Dell. Eamon has co-founded three successful companies in the wedding, events and entertainment industries. A public speaker and podcaster, he also enjoys the outdoors, sports, family time with his children, and playing guitar or piano.

Emma Killian

Emma is from a communications and events background and has been involved in the wedding & events industry for over 20 years. She includes the likes of Google, KPMG, and Amazon as just some past corporate clients.

Emma has a deep understanding of the wedding and events industry and often appears as a speaker and podcast guest. Emma still acts as Managing Director to the events company she co-founded with Eamon that manages services in up to 50 events per week.

Emma is a proud Mum of three young boys and could be found equally playing soccer in the park as sipping a cosmopolitan by the pool.

A fan of rugby, travel and fashion, Emma has also worked as a professional vocalist and could break into song at any time!

Emma, from a communications and events background, has 20+ years in the wedding & events industry, working with clients like Google, KPMG, and Amazon. Emma co-founded an events company that manages services in up to 50 events weekly. A speaker and MC, Emma is a mum of three young boys, she equally enjoys playing soccer with the kids or sipping a Cosmopolitan by a pool. Loves travel and has worked as a professional vocalist.

Every rocket needs a rock solid launchpad and a carefully planned and orchestrated mission control.

With an extensive background in full stack software development, including Microsoft and Google, Michael is our CTO Wizard.

Michael manages the tech team to deliver the feature set that our customers love. His passion is technology and innovation. From a hospitality family, Michael also understands the nuances of the wedding & events industry.

A dad of two young active boys, Michael is a fan of the outdoors.

When not leading the team from his shiny white standing desk, you will find him climbing a hill, or mountain with his trusted dogs Benji & Cooper!
